Using World Telecom phonecards is easy! Simply
Dial the access number for your area
Dial your PIN followed by #
To make national calls: dial the area code + phone number
To make international calls: dial 0011 + country code + area code + phone number
02.What is rounding?
At the end of the call the final call charge will be rounded up to the nearest 5 cents
03.What is a connection fee?
For calling cards that have a connection fee a fee will be charged for every phone call that is connected. If the person on the receiving end doesn't pick up and the landline rings out then the connection fee won't be charged. If the person doesn't pick up but an answering machine answers then you will be charged.
04. What is a service fee?
A service fee may be applied to your card every day or every two days or even weekly. It will usually start from the date of the first call you make and will continue until the value of the card expires. To find out if your phonecard has a service fee visit it's Product Page on the website.
05.What is incremental billing (Blocking)?
All phonecards are charged in incremental billing periods or blocks. The size of these blocks vary. If a phonecard has 3 minute blocking and you make a 4 minute call you will be charged for 6 minutes.
If you want to make several short calls with your phonecard pick one with low blocking periods (1 or 2 minutes) if you want to make one continuous call then pick one with higher blocking periods
06.Does my phonecard have an expiry date?
Yes your phonecard does have an expiry. It can be found on the bottom right-hand side of your phonecard. The general expiry rule is 3 months from first use or last recharge unless otherwise specified.
07.How do I use my expired card?
If your calling card has expired, you will need to recharge before you can make a call. You will need to recharge a minimum of $20 and a reactivation fee of $5.00 will be deducted. Any credit that was lost will be reinstated when the calling card is activated.
08. How can I find more access numbers?
A list of access numbers can be found on our website. These include access numbers for international calls both to and from Australia.
09.Can I use my phonecard from overseas?
World Dial is a great tool you can use to use your phonecard from overseas. All you have to do is dial the international access code then +800 8353 3538 for toll free access from overseas. The rate of the calls will be calculated by adding the surcharge of the country you are calling from to the per minute rate of your phonecard of the country you are calling. 10.How do I know how much credit I have left on my phonecard?
There are several options to find out how much credit you have. The best option is to create an online account in which you will be able to view your balance and also manage your recharges.
Other options include: When using your phonecard to make a call, before connecting it will say how much credit/minutes you have remaining on the card OR to call Customer Service on 1300 668 270 and they will be able to tell you how much credit is remaining.
11.What is Direct Dial?
Direct Dial is a convenient way to make phone calls using your phonecard. It is for simple and quick dialing. Register up to 3 Australian numbers and call them directly without entering your PIN. 12.What is Speed Dial?
Store up to 99 phone numbers for speed dialing on your phonecard. For more information or to sign up visit the Cool Features page of our website. No fees included for set up or use of Speed Dial.
13.What is the difference between off peak and 24 hour great rates?
Most phonecards have one fixed calling rate and others have peak and off peak rates. During off peak times call rates are cheaper than the fixed rate (peak rates). The Pay Peanuts phonecard is the only product that offers off-peak times. This means that between the times of 1:30am and 6am you can call family and friends for a cheaper rate.
14.How can I recharge my phonecard?
Recharging your phonecard can be done online. Simply visit the recharge page of our website and recharge via your credit card. It can also be done by our Customer Service Representatives over the phone by calling 1300 668 270 also via credit card.
15.I forgot / lost my PIN...what to do?
Your PIN number is the most important component of your calling card. If you have lost or forgotten your PIN, please contact Customer Service immediately for assistance.
16.Can I access my call history?
Once you have signed up for an online account you will be able to view your call history, among other things!
17.Who do I call if I need help?
Our Customer Service centre is very helpful. Our english Customer Service centre is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. For assistance please call 1300 668 270.
18.Can I use my phonecard if my mobile doesn't have any credit?
Unfortunately not. To dial the access number your mobile phone service provider will charge you that connection fee, therefore you will need credit.
